Loving God, Loving Others, Sharing the Peace of Christ in and around Lexington

What we believe

Open Door is one church with multiple expressions committed to loving God, loving others, and sharing the peace of Christ in and around Lexington. We seek to do that by opening our doors to anyone that needs family and opening our hands to give freely and do good. Learn more.

Seven Minute sermon for Home Churches

Our mission at Open Door is to love God, love others, and share the peace of Christ in and around Lexington. Our values are what shape how we fulfill that mission. Our Seven Minute Sermon for this week focuses on the BIC Value of Living Simply and the ODC Value Statement of "The Bible is true and Jesus is the Way!" Join Pastor Adam as he shares the story of Marcella of Rome and helps us discover ways we can unclutter our lives so we can love boldly, give generously, and serve joyfully as we seek first the kingdom of heaven.

For other sermons in this series, check out our Vimeo channel or Facebook page. We’d love to hear from you! Share your thoughts, comments, and questions at office@opendoorlex.org.

Generous Community

Throughout 2025, Open Door Church will seek to live into our vision for being a generous community as we give generously of our time, our treasure, and our talents. During the fourth quarter of this year, starting in July, we will be imagining together what it looks like to live in generous community in how we think, act, and serve.

All Community Conversation

Our Annual All Community Conversation and Chili Cook-Off will be on November 16, with worship at 10 am and lunch plus conversation at 11:30 am. Not only will you get to share your favorite moments from 205 and cast vision for 2026, you will also get to share your favorite pot of chili with your church family.
