PARTNER IN PRAYER
PRAISE: Open Door Housing Inc, a not-for-profit committed to creating affordable housing in the Golfview Estates locale of Lexington and the neighborhood that surround Open Door Church, has purchased a piece of land and received a grant from the Lexington City to build four affordable housing units.
PRAISE: This year has been one of living into Generous Community and we’ve welcomed several new members to our church family.
Pray for our staff and leadership as we seek the Lord for our vision and mission for 2026 based on the feedback we’ve received from the body at our All Community Conversation,
Pray for Hope for Congo, a ministry that began with members of Open Door and currently supports a home for widows and orphans in Congo. We praise God for Alex Favor’s latest visit and good report.
Pray for our youth and young adults as we meet for Home Church this academic year. We’ve had to make some changes to the schedule due to a number of our high schoolers having very busy schedules. Pray that we find ways and times to make faith formation a meaningful practice.
Pray for our Home Churches as we begin intentionally reaching into our local neighborhoods.
Pray for the NA groups that meet in our Community Center. We host an NA group every day of the week and we want to be a place of safety and hospitality. These folks are doing the hard work of recovery and sobriety and we want to support them, not only with a place to meet, but with a community of faith that is praying for them.
