PARTNER IN PRAYER
PRAISE: We had 47 Open Door representatives at the Nehemiah BUILD Action on May 6, which is our biggest representation to date. We are grateful that the community and city leaders agreed to moving forward in the areas of eldercare, microtransit, and renter’s concerns.
PRAISE: We have welcomed another refugee family to our church community and are actively working to find ways to support their transition to the United States.
Pray for our staff and leadership as we help our church imagine, receive, practice and live in generous community.
Pray for Hope for Congo, a ministry that began with members of Open Door and currently supports a home for widows and orphans in Congo. The violence in Congo has hindered the work and caused great harm to the Congolese people. Please pray for an end to the violence.
Pray for our youth and young adults as they finish up this academic year and begin summer break. Many of our youth will be attending Bethel Mennonite Camp this summer as well as our Mystery Van Mission Trip in July.
Pray for our Home Churches as we grow and transition. Praising the Lord for two new Home Churches started last quarter!
Pray for the NA groups that meet in our Community Center. These folks are doing the hard work of recovery and sobriety and we want to support them, not only with a place to meet, but with a community of faith that is praying for them.
