We Welcome Differences

At Open Door, we recognize that people express their creativity in praise and worship in different ways. For some of us, that is through creative arts such as painting, crafting, and building.

Throughout the year, we offer Art Studios, worship experiences that help us reflect the word and works of Christ through art. Open to all ages and stages, we invite anyone who wants to explore worship through art to join us.

Below are some past Art Studios that we have hosted.

Lent Art Studio 2026

During our celebration of Lent, we held four Art Studios focused on topics ranging from brokenness and despair to restoration and repair.

In the first week, the theme was Break & Repair with our own version of kintsugi art (Japanese pottery art). The next week, we painted light reflectors to demonstrate how Christ’s work of healing is reflected in our lives.

The theme of transformation led to a beautiful array of paintings showing how God can transform us into beautiful things. Our final week focused on how nature shows the greatness and goodness of God.
