Seven Minute sermon for Home Churches

Many thanks to Pastor Sungbin for his Seven Minute Sermon this week talking about the Transfiguration of Christ. As we prepare for Lent, this is a good time for us to reflect on Christ and what it means to study the ways of Jesus seriously.

For other sermons in this series, check out our Vimeo channel or Facebook page. We’d love to hear from you! Share your thoughts, comments, and questions at office@opendoorlex.org.

Ash Wednesday Service

On Ash Wednesday, we begin Lent by telling the truth about our lives—we are fragile, finite, and in need of God. This season invites us to pray honestly, and the Psalms give us words when our own feel insufficient. Throughout Lent, we will let the Psalms guide us as we bring our grief, confession, anger, and hope before God, trusting that God meets us exactly where we are. Join us for a special Ash Wednesday service at 6:30 pm as we begin our Lenten journey together.

Psalms of Lent

As we move into Lent, we will begin working our way through the Psalms and exploring with the Psalmist themes of lament, confession, trust, and hope. We anticipate this being a time of great reflection and meaning as we prepare our hearts for resurrection.
